*BREAKING* ObamaCare Vote Imminent!

HEALTH EXCHANGE VOTE COMING TUESDAY IN MI. SENATE!!!

Good afternoon patriots. Today, even as we are fighting to prevent the Michigan Senate from adopting the healthcare exchanges to begin Obamacare, it has come to light that another brand new excise tax will be beginning in about 60 days. This is to help pay for the cost of Obamacare and will cost about $130 per policy. that cost will surely be passed on to we, the consumers. MORE unnecessary costs to we the taxpayers that was only released to the public today.
Last week, the Michigan House voted to approve the 30.6 million dollars from the federal government for use to set up the healthcare exchanges in the bill HB4111. Tuesday March 5th, the Senate will likely do the same. It is very important that we contact our state senators and let them know how we feel about health exchanges in Michigan. Below is information from our friends, former State Sen. Jack Hoogendyk and Core Principles:

Dear Patriots,
The feds are telling the states they need to set up "health care exchanges", the place where state residents can go to get insurance if their employer does not provide it for them. There are three options for the state to consider:
  1. State-Based Exchange. The state runs the program and the feds "reimburse" for the costs. Experts agree, the reimbursement is likely to be short or non-existent in the out years. Eighteen states have chosen this option. It is a total "buy-in" to Obamacare. Or maybe I should say it is a total sellout. Once a state has done this, there is no turning back. In Michigan, the legislature was unable to muster the votes to set up a State-Based Exchange.
  2. Federally-Facilitated Exchange. Under this scenario, the states are basically saying, "we want no part of it. If you want us to have an exchange, come in and run it yourselves. We aren't paying for it and if you want to bring Obamacare to our state, you can pay for it." Twenty-six states have gone this direction, essentially telling the feds, "no thank you."
  3. State Partnership Model. Under this model, the feds operate the program except the states handle the plan management and consumer assistance functions. Michigan was one of only seven states to choose this option when the governor sent a formal letter and exchange blueprint on January 22, 2013.

Learn more about these three scenarios here .

Last week, the House of Representatives approved the $30.6 million federal grant to fund the creation of a state partnership model. Tomorrow, the Senate will likely vote on HB 4111. I believe that once we do that, we are obligated to the federal government, having essentially committed ourselves to federally-run healthcare.

We need you to act immediately. You need to call your State Senator and  Majority Leader and tell them you are opposed to taking this federal money and creating a partnership model with the federal government.

As stated by Americans for Prosperity: "Health care exchanges were created by the president's flawed health care law and serve to pile thousands of pages of rules and regulations while transferring control to health care bureaucrats in Washington. These bloated bureaucracies drive up the cost of insurance on hardworking families and raise taxes on businesses.

Hypocrisy on this issue in the Michigan Legislature is led by Governor Snyder who on one hand says the feds need to get their budget under control, but then on the other hand seizes every last dollar of federal money possible. Even worse, theimplementation of Obamacare in Michigan will hurt hardworking families."

Why does the governor and the legislature feel so compelled to grab this $31 million? With a state budget of over $50 billion, $31 million is a rounding error. If we ever needed to set up the technology for implementing any kind of health care program, we could surely find the dollars for it.
